Course Rules

The Rules of Golf, as published annually by the USGA, shall govern all play unless modified (but not superseding USGA) by any posted local rules.

1. Preferred lies in own fairway not to exceed 12 inches.
2. Free lift, no penalty:
   1. Cart paths & footpaths & all worn areas due to heavy usage & bare ground caused by golf carts.
   2. All drainage ditches in the fairway & rough (treat as ground under repair)
   3. Immovable obstructions: benches, ball washers, Clubhouse, chain link fence & irrigation control boxes on holes #1, 2 & 7.
   4. Only blue-ribboned trees or newly planted shrubs or flowers (relief: swing and stance).
3. Large rocks on holes #8 & 9 behind greens; take one club length relief – swing & stance.  If the rock lies between the ball & the green, this relationship must be maintained.
4. Drop area on Hole #7 to the right of the cart path is for the lateral hazard only! Cart path should be nearest point of relief plus one club length.

COLORED STAKES

• WHITE: Out of Bounds
• YELLOW: Water Hazard
• BLUE: No penalty within the confines of the stakes
• RED: Lateral Hazard

The Golf Professional or the designated Ranger shall enforce the COURSE rules.

1. The following rules, if violated more than once, are grounds for written notice and action by the Board.
   1. Motorized carts shall be kept out of the fairway except to cross the fairway at a 90-degree angle.
   2. Carts, including pull carts, shall be kept off the tee areas and off the aprons of the greens.
   3. All carts shall be kept out of areas designated by signs or roped off or restricted by fences or other obstacles.
   4. When a cart path is available, motorized riding carts shall be kept on the path.
   5. Posted signs on the course governing play shall be followed.
   6. Players shall not unduly delay play and shall allow the group behind to play through in the event that a full hole opens in front of them.

1. Players shall ring signal bells, when available. (After finishing the first hole, there is a signal bell located just before the second hole to signal players in the first fairway it is clear to hit their approach to the 1st green).
2. Players shall repair their own ball marks, replace their own divots, and rake the bunkers after playing from them. Rakes shall remain in the bunkers.  
3. All players are expected to properly dispose of all papers, cigarettes and trash in the receptacles provided on course.
4. Players shall not unduly endanger other players or club employees and shall call “fore” when it appears that a shot may endanger someone.
5. All cart drivers should be mindful of their surroundings and not start carts when nearby golfers are putting or playing their shot.
6. The following violations shall be grounds for immediate action by the Board or its subcommittee upon notice of one violation.
   1. Purposeful endangerment of other players or Club employees.
   2. Verbal abuse, profanity, or threats directed against players in other groups, club employees, or other persons on the golf course.
   3. Failure to comply with a specific instruction or direction of the Ranger within the scope of the Rangers duties.
   4. Purposeful damage to club property, not occurring during normal play.
   5. Purposeful assistance of the violation of Club rules by any other person.
