HANDICAPS AND POSTING
Members may opt to use our GHIN Handicap system for a fee (Handicaps are needed for League and Tournament Play). A computer is available in the Pro Shop (new location) to post your scores, both 18 holes and 9 holes scores. Every two weeks the handicaps are recalculated, new card information is printed and the updated handicap information is available on our computer.
Handicaps may be adjusted for Tournaments by the Tournament Committee per USGA rules.
To post your score: Check your card to be sure it is accurate and complete. Adjust any holes in accordance with the USGA's Equitable Stroke Control. (Information on how to adjust your score is posted next to the computer). Post your score using your assigned number. A listing of Member numbers is available by the computer. Be sure that date, course rating and slope are correct.
Scores from Tournaments and other golf courses need to be entered in a different manner than regular rounds played at E.C.C. Check with the Pro Shop or someone on the Handicap Committee for assistance.
We must record every round of golf we play for the handicap system to work properly.
